Following Final Investment Decision for the Delfin LNG Project, we are strengthening our Oslo-based project execution organisation. We are looking for capable, curious and delivery-oriented professionals who want to contribute to the development and execution of large-scale floating LNG infrastructure from concept and engineering through construction, commissioning and operations readiness.

Pre-operations Team

The roles

• Offers significant exposure to an international project environment and an opportunity to contribute directly to the successful development, execution, start-up and long-term operation of multiple FLNG vessels
• You will contribute across the project lifecycle, supporting the successful delivery of complex offshore energy projects
• You will work closely with internal stakeholders, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and partners to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution and operations
• You will be part of the Oslo based technical, execution and pre-operations organisation and regular international travel is expected.

Head of Pre-operations

Key responsibilities and tasks

• Define, develop and organize the full suite of O&M systems, tools, training and personnel
• Develop the O&M organization as a dedicated O&M organization based in Louisiana, servicing all the FLNG Vessels
• Participate in Delfin execution project management team with all pre-ops responsibility, including the pre-ops team
• Management/liaison with key sub-contractors and vendors and establish all necessary service and support contracts
• Management of operations interfaces to execution, regulatory compliance, production planning & performance, HR, accounting/cost control, etc.
• Report to the Project Director
  

Your background and skills

The ideal candidate combines strong technical competence with project and execution experience

• Necessary skillset and leadership to define, develop and implement an O&M organization
• Min. 10 years’ experience from offshore O&M, including management roles
• Experience from pre-ops phases and actual operations phases
• FLNG experience is good but not necessary
• Skills, attitude and a leader style to nurture collaboration between engineering – construction – operations
• Excellent communication and cooperation skills across teams with various cultural backgrounds
• Strong ability to engage and take initiatives

• Min. 4 years’ experience from offshore O&M and/or pre-ops work
• Experience from pre-commissioning and commissioning of process and utility topside systems and/or hull & marine systems
• Experience from maintenance planning and management of process and utility topside systems and/or hull & marine systems
• FLNG or FPSO experience is good but not necessary
• Good communication and cooperation skills

Senior & Junior candidates are welcome

Senior candidates are expected to bring strong technical competence and broad knowledge and experiences whereas junior candidates are expected to have strong technical competence combined with talent and eagernes.

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent Operations education and experiences.

Delfin Midstream is a private US company that owns the “Delfin LNG Project”. Delfin LNG is an LNG export project offshore Louisiana which uses floating LNG technology to produce LNG from US natural gas. The project took its Final Investment Decision (FID) in June 2026. The technical, execution and pre-ops team is located in Oslo, Norway and is responsible for all development work and the execution of the project, with additional teams in the US and at the shipyard in South Korea (SHI).
