Consent to processing of personal data in connection with Executive Search and Professional Recruitment Processes

You hereby consent to the processing of your personal data by companies within the Mercuri Urval Group (“Mercuri Urval”) in connection with your participation in an Executive Search or Professional Recruitment Process. Mercuri Urval is a leading international Executive Search and Professional Recruitment company. Every year, we help more than 3000 clients in 60 countries to find the right leaders and top talents. To be able to offer you to be a candidate in an Executive Search or Professional Recruitment mandate, we will need to process career related information about you. This means we need to process your personal data for the following purposes:

Purposes of processing
• The specific Executive Search or Professional Recruitment assignment that you choose to be a part of, which Mercuri Urval handles on behalf of a client 

Categories of personal data concerned
• Contact details, e.g. name, email, telephone number, etc., career related information, e.g. employment history, education and CV as well as career  related information provided by you to our consultants during the process  and in interviews.

Sensitive information – what not to upload
We are not allowed to process sensitive information, so please do not enter or upload sensitive personal information, i.e. information regarding racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, genetic data, biometric data, trade union membership, sexual orientation or health information. If we become aware that such data exists, we will remove it.

Also, please do not name any reference persons in the documents that you upload.

Who has access to your personal data, and where do we process your data? 
The personal data you choose to provide will be processed by Mercuri Urval. The fact that Mercuri Urval is a global company means that your data may be processed by Mercuri Urval in any country, where Mercuri Urval operates, including countries outside EU/EEA. You therefore also explicitly consent to this processing taking place. In line with GDPR we would like to inform you of the risk that other legal frameworks with regards to personal data protection apply in countries outside EU/EEA. Mercuri Urval, however, handles your data in the same safe manner everywhere we operate, in all countries in the world.

Also, the companies providing Mercuri Urval with IT support will have access as data processor acting under Mercuri Urval’s instructions on the basis of a Data Processor Agreement.

Additional recipients of personal data
You also consent to your personal data being processed and forwarded to Mercuri Urval’s client with regard to this particular assignment. If the client in this particular assignment is based outside EU/EAA, you explicitly consent to this transfer taking place. When your personal data is handed over to the client, then the client becomes responsible for your data as independent data controller of your personal information, and the personal information is stored in accordance with the respective company's personal data policy.

Duration of processing
We will only store your personal data for as long as it is necessary having regard to the purposes of the processing. At any time, you can choose to withdraw your consent by contacting Mercuri Urval, and we will delete your personal data.

The personal data you choose to provide in connection with this Executive Search or Professional Recruitment process will be stored by Mercuri Urval for a period of:
• 6 months after finishing the assignment if you are not employed
   through this process, 
• 24 months if you are employed through this process – to conduct
   Mercuri Urval’s follow-up procedure.

- with whom Mercuri Urval has concluded a written Data Processor Agreement ensuring that our data processor acts under Mercuri Urval’s instructions.

Technical and organisational security measures
Mercuri Urval is responsible for continuously implementing necessary technical and organisational measures to ensure an appropriate security level that meets the requirements of the personal data regulation in force from time to time.

Your rights when choosing to let Mercuri Urval process your personal data
For Mercuri Urval it is of great importance that we create trustful relationships with the persons for whom we process personal data – that we protect your integrity and give you control of your personal data.

At any time you can contact Mercuri Urval and request that your personal data be erased if you do not want your personal data to be processed any longer.

At any time you can contact Mercuri Urval to request access to or extract your personal data – and if the personal data we process concerning you is inaccurate or incomplete, please ask us for rectification.
