In February 2017, Katleen Degreef joined Mercuri Urval. Up to now, she has been involved in various aspects of HR: executive search, assessment & development, outplacement, career coaching and assessments for the European Commission.
Katleen graduated in 2000 as a translator and started her career as Claims Expert in an international logistics company. After two years she combined this with teaching in evening classes (French and English) at PCVO in Assenede. After four years she started working as Project Coordinator Talent Management at one of the most important companies in HR consultancy in Belgium. Since this was difficult to combine with teaching, she was forced to give up the teaching. She moved on to the role of Office Manager Talent Management where she was in charge of five 5 project coordinators. More and more she started to get interested in the content, next to the operational. She was given the opportunity to start as a consultant in the Outplacement / Career Guidance department. She then became a certified assessor, conducting assessments and development centers for both the private and public sector.
Katleen holds a Master's degree in Translation - Business Communication, she studied at the former Vlekho Institute (Current HUB).
