The mission of the position is to achieve operations unit goals in terms of quality, cost, assets and delivery based on approved budget.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Derive the operations unit strategy from higher level strategic targets in order to ensure the expectations of the customer and the profit of the company
Improve operations unit cost structure (fix and variable)
Ensure compliance with legal regulations (e.g. working hours, environment protection) and internal rules and procedures
Implement efficient organization structures, procedures and processes according to company standards
Ensure high performance production processes and supply chain processes with respect to KPIs
Ensure balancing between short-term customer requirements and unplanned occurrences within the operations unit in order to obtain the optimal load and achieve the maximum customer satisfaction (on-time deliveries)
Ensure manufacturability of products within the defined responsibilities on the basis of authorized budgets within the constraints of quality, quantity, delivering and cost goals
Supervise, support and control ramp-up and ramp-down projects within operations unit
Ensure quality of components, processes and products in order to fulfil internal and customer targets
Promote implementation of quality standards and processes
Ensure environment protection, operational safety and the enforcement of the company´s values
Ensure definition and implementation of the entire human resource planning of internal and external employee capacity and qualification for the operations unit and definition of work, working hours and remuneration models
Cooperate trustfully with the works council
Your profile
University degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, business administration or related discipline
5 or more years of professional experience in manufacturing, preferably in rubber and plastic manufacturing
3 or more years of strategic and business planning experience, cross functional experience in different functional areas
3 or more years in a leadership position, preferably in operational units with functional or disciplinary responsibility for other individuals
Quality experience and knowledge either through work experience in the functional area quality (min. 2 years) or work experience as Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing Coach (min. 2 years) or a combination of defined quality certifications (incl. practical experience)
Comprehensive experience in production processes as well as in the area of lean production/CBS
Experience in working with international teams and understanding different foreign cultures
Native Hungarian, fluent in English, German knowledge is an advantage but not a must
