David Van Ongevalle joined Mercuri Urval’s Washington, D.C. team in 2013, and focuses on Board and Executive search and Assessment centers. David leverages his international background and in-depth industry expertise to position himself as a trusted advisor who delivers people solutions for his clients. He has worked extensively across professional services, technology, financial and manufacturing sectors to identify and select high performing leaders.
Prior to Mercuri Urval, David worked with various talent management and recruitment firms before establishing his own HR consultancy in Brussels, Belgium where he was specialized in recruitment, developing and executing assessment centres, competency modelling, HR tools and optimizing talent management processes.
David holds a Masters degree in Industrial and Occupational Psychology from the University of Ghent (Belgium). In addition, he did a research project at the University of Pretoria (South Africa).
David is bilingual in English and Dutch, and has a good command of French.
