Nico van Hertrooij, started in 1994 his career as consultant at Mercuri Urval. In 2001 he became Manager of the Unit in Eindhoven and member of the Dutch Managementteam. He established a strong and still growing client platform of large international and small medium sized local companies. He focuses on the High-Tech industry, Food & Agri and Financial Services market. He sets an example as a rolemodel and takes in the Netherlands the lead to sell Executive search and related services on boardroom level.
Prior to joining Mercuri Urval, Nico served as a Marine officer Special Services at the Royal Netherlands Navy. After that he was for eight years Training and Education Manager at the Dutch Sportsassociation for mentally disabled people. Throughout his career, Nico has worked in leadership roles and coach with high educated professionals and he is passionate about the peoplemanagement business.
Nico is an active member of several business networks like in the brainregion Eindhoven. In addition he regulary holds lectures and trainings for clients on leadership, management or human capital issues.
Nico has an academic degree (drs.) in Social and Behavioral sciences with a major in company training education and social psychology at the University Leiden. He followed several leadership, management science and incompany salesmanagement programs. He finished a Master of Management and Organizations (MMO) at the TIAS University in Tilburg
Nico is fluent in Dutch and English.
