Green Power Denmark / Nordenergi

Location: Brussels

Reference number: DK-11229

The practical anchor of a shared Nordic office in Brussels, home to five energy associations.

Green Power Denmark is establishing a permanent position as Office Assistant in its EU office in Brussels to take care of the office we share with the Nordic energy associations in Nordenergi. You will be the consistent point of contact for everything practical, and as the position is new, you will help shape how the role and the office work in practice.

Nordenergi is a collaboration between the Nordic associations for electricity producers, suppliers and distributors: Finnish Energy, Green Power Denmark, Renewables Norway, Samorka and Swedenergy. Together we represent more than 2,000 market actors. In Brussels, the five associations share a modern office close to Place du Luxembourg, where around 20 colleagues work and where experts, member companies and guests come for meetings, workshops and events.

Until now, the associations have taken turns running the office in practice. Therefore, we have established a new position as Office Assistant and are looking for someone who takes the initiative to ensure the office runs smoothly for everyone. The position is part of Green Power Denmark’s EU office, and Green Power Denmark is the employer on behalf of all five associations.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the shared services of the office on behalf of all five associations. The main tasks are:

  • Reception, access and daily operations, from post, coffee and catering to purchasing, invoices and practical support for meetings and events
  • Coordination with the building management, cleaning and security services and local suppliers
  • Local administration and safety, such as first aid and fire wardens
  • Acting as a practical guide to the office

We will make sure you are well introduced to the office and the five associations. From there, we expect you to plan and drive your own tasks and take the lead on what needs to be done.

Your profile

No specific education is required. What matters is your experience and your approach to the tasks. Ideally, you have:

  • Preferably at least three years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience organising receptions and events and being responsible for purchasing
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Knowledge of Brussels, or a strong wish to get to know the city
  • A service-minded, approachable and proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently

In return, you become part of a workplace with a Nordic working culture and a 37-hour week.
