IT’S ALWAYS ESSENTIAL THAT THE PERSON YOU’RE BRINGING INTO AN ORGANISATION FITS WITH THE CULTURE. IN THIS CASE, ONE OF MY CLIENTS BROUGHT US IN TO ADVISE ON RECRUITMENT. THIS IS A VERY STABLE ORGANISATION, ONE WE HAVE WORKED WITH FOR OVER A DECADE. IT’S A MULTINATIONAL ORGANISATION WITH A LOT OF BUSINESS. THEY PUT A PREMIUM ON RECRUITING PEOPLE WHO WILL BE LOYAL TO THE COMPANY, WHO WILL BE THERE FOR A LONG TIME AND KNOW THE CLIENT’S BUSINESS INSIDE AND OUT.
WE KNEW THAT THE SMALL DETAILS WOULD MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE FOR THIS CLIENT. THEY NEEDED A STABLE CANDIDATE THAT FIT RIGHT INTO THEIR CULTURE AND COULD “HIT THE GROUND RUNNING.” IT WAS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THEIR GROWTH STRATEGY FOR AN ORGANISATION WITH BIG FUTURE PLANS.
WE STARTED OUR SEARCH WITH A MINDSET CRITICAL IN UNDERSTANDING THE CLIENT AND APPROACHING THE NECESSARY TASKS. WE PROVIDED A “DEEP ASSESSMENT” OF THE CANDIDATES TO FOCUS DIRECTLY ON THE CAPABILITIES NEEDED TO FIT IN WITH THE CLIENT’S NEEDS
THE QUESTIONS ASKED FOCUSED ON CRITICAL AREAS LIKE ADAPTABILITY, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND WRITTEN REPORTS. OUR RECOMMENDATION? THE CLIENT FOLLOWS THEIR RECRUITMENT STRUCTURE, AS THE SOLUTION AND OUTCOME WERE PROFITABLE FOR THE CLIENT. THE CLIENT FOLLOWED THE RECOMMENDATIONS AND WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THE RESULT.
THE CANDIDATE’S ROTATION LEVEL FOR HARD RECRUITMENT WAS VERY LOW, AND SOME CANDIDATES GOT PROMOTED WITHIN THE NEXT YEAR TO EVEN HIGHER POSITIONS WITHIN THE COMPANY. WE’VE CONTINUED TO PERFORM FOLLOW-UP WORK WITH THE CLIENT, ASKING THEM IF THEY ARE PLEASED WITH THE CANDIDATE’S PERFORMANCE AND TALKING WITH THE CANDIDATE WHETHER THEY ARE PLEASED OR NOT IN THE POSITION.
