Today we share insight 2 out of 3.
“Leadership by Future Narratives"
Most transformations do not fail because of strategy. They fail because leadership underestimates the human side of change.
During restructuring, organisations come under immense pressure:
• Roles change
• Responsibilities are redistributed
• Established structures lose stability
• Employees experience uncertainty and a loss of control
In these situations, information gaps quickly become trust gaps.
When leaders fail to communicate transparently, rumors spread, resistance grows, and engagement declines.
That is why communication is not a supporting activity in transformation. It is a core leadership responsibility.
The concept of Leadership by Future Narratives describes the ability not only to explain change, but to create a credible and compelling picture of the future organisation.
Because people rarely follow restructuring measures alone. They follow perspectives.
Especially in challenging times, employees expect:
• Visible leadership
• Honest communication
• Transparent decisions
• Clear direction and personal guidance
Transformation is therefore much more than operational realignment. It is about leading people through uncertainty while preserving trust, commitment, and confidence in the future.
