Invitation Panel Discussion | March 19, 6.00 p.m. in Vienna

When: Tuesday, March 19th 2024, 6.00 p.m. CET

Where: Vienna (exact place will be provided after registration)

Private Equity for tomorrow. Sweden has long been a European leader when it comes to Private Equity investments. Together with Luxemburg, Sweden ranks highest in the EU when it comes to PE capital raised as share of GDP and Sweden is also one of the largest European exporters of PE funding, making Stockholm a Private Equity hub supporting high-potential companies in the Nordic region and beyond.

What aspects can be found in Sweden and the Nordic region that has led Private Equity to be such a successful investment alternative and what lessons can be learned for Austria and the wider DACH region. We will look at PE Investments from different angles, discussing possible steps to make PE investments more prominent in Austria.

Together with the Embassy of Sweden in Vienna and invest.austria, Mercuri Urval invites you to a unique panel discussion.

The event starts with an introduction by Annika Markovic, the Swedish Ambassador to Austria, who will share experiences from Sweden and compare it with insights she has gained from Austria and internationally. This will be followed by a prominent panel discussion where Petia Niederlaender from Austrian National Bank, Sylvia Vana representing Ministry of Labour and Economy in Austria and Martin Wikstrom, CEO Ontech Group will further expand on the Swedish example while putting it into an Austrian context.

Doris Hofmeister will act as moderator and add her inputs from an Executive Search point of view.

The event will be held in English and will last approximately 60 minutes with networking afterwards.
