Entrepreneurial, no-nonsense and result driven director willing to lead and coach his teams while being an example in managing and serving Key Accounts.

Your responsibilities

  • As a member of the senior sales management team you are responsible for developing, implementing and delivering the business strategy, sales targets and financial goals of the business in Benelux, France and Denmark;
  • Leading, managing and working closely with the internal and external sales teams in the pursuit of personal and business objectives including maximising sales, market share and profits. Ensure every member of the sales team is fully aware of the overall business plan and the key business objectives. Monitor the performance of each member of the sales team and ensure they receive any appropriate training needs;
  • Taking the lead at major customers to promote long term strategic partnerships: maintain regular contact, support the sales team at customers where help and support is requested, monitor the sales performance;
  • Agree and formulate the pricing strategy. Keep the sales team fully informed of any changes to input costs. Agree on customer rebates and ensure the appropriate provision is made in the accounts.
  • Stock management: conduct regular reviews of finished stock mix and planned production to ensure it meets the needs of customers and the changing demands of the market. Review slow moving stock and action accordingly;
  • Maintain and enhance the businesses image and reputation;
  • The Sales Director is reporting to the Business Director of bpi packaging solutions.

Your profile

  • You have successfully completed a higher education or are equivalent through experience.
  • You can look back on at least 5 years of relevant sales and management experience in a B2B role. Experience in the packaging industry is a plus.
  • You have a strategic mindset, are sales oriented and have good leadership and interpersonal skills.  
  • You speak Dutch, English and French fluently, knowledge of the German language is a plus, and you are willing to travel frequently (25%) within Western Europe.
