          Responsibilities and tasks

          The Digital Services Manager role is a combined operational
          and leadership role. The purpose of the role is:

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with business leaders to better understand business needs and strategies.
  • Find synergies and common ground between different stakeholders. Implement a transparent prioritizing process, using sound and objective arguments. Make compromises and manage expectations.
  • Define and organize the change activities to facilitate the deployment of global IT tools processes & solutions.
  • Deal with complexity and improve the organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering and supporting strategic digital service delivery plans and create an effective change governance structure.
  • Lead, inspire and manage the market digital team in Berchem and Bologna as well as external vendors.
  • You will report to the Executive Officer Digital based in New Zealand and be part of a Global IT leadership team. You are based in Europe (Berchem, Belgium) and you are prepared to travel regularly to other European countries and occasionally to New Zealand.

    Experience and Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent in computer science, information management, or equivalent through experience. At least a first experience leading an IT / digital team in an international environment.
  • At least 10 years practical experience in either a software solution delivery, (SAP, Warehouse Management, Development,...) architecture or other relevant role.
  • Experience in and strong motivation for stakeholder management, change management and project management is crucial.
  • Proven track record in guiding organizations through major transformations and achieving sustainable results.
  • Bridge builder between technical know-how and users in different countries. Strong communication and listening skills and awareness for cultural differences.
