The position

SCADA International is headquartered in Portland, OR and offers an array of advanced solutions within systems including identification of IT value chain (commissioning and configuration), software infrastructure, and simplified user interfaces to analyze data and establish communication for all business units. They are seeking a Sales Director, Americas who will report directly to global leadership  and partner with the GM of the Americas in executing on the expansion strategy for the Americas region.


In this hands-on sales leadership position, you will be responsible for driving the growth of new business and developing existing customers in the region. This entrepreneurial opportunity offers you the chance to exponentially grow the organization in the Americas with the potential to move into more strategic management and build out the sales team underneath you.


The Sales Director, Americas will travel extensively to new customers and utilize their sales experience in the wind and renewable energy sector to gain new business for the region.


Specific tasks and responsibilities include:


  • Responsible for analyzing new markets potential and creating go-to market strategies in co-operation with CSO and GM to identify new business, customer, and segment potential.

  • Create a sales pipeline and strengthen brand and product positioning in the Americas region

  • Manage the full life cycle sales process to drive the closing of new business

  • Work with senior management to help define business objectives and develop a framework and vision for the Americas business

  • Act as a consultant to potential clients and C level leaders throughout the sales process to develop trust and credibility

  • Together with the GM be the face of SCADA International within the Americas, represent the company with clients and related industry events

  • Manage implementation of products and services with customers to ensure a high level of satisfaction and proper execution 

  • Provide regular forecasting and reporting to the management team in Denmark




  • Bachelor’s Degree ; MBA a plus

  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in sales to the wind or renewables industry

  • Experience driving new business in the wind and renewables sector

  • Proven relevant sales track record

  • Advanced comprehension of the wind or renewables business, markets, stakeholders (OEM’s, suppliers, IPP’s etc.)

  • Experience selling solutions at a strategic level

  • Ability to manage a complex sales process and competency to sell technical solutions

  • Effective communicator working cross functionally within an organization

  • Willing to travel extensively within the region
