Jan Olsson, based in Örebro, is a member of Mercuri Urvals Industry sector (including Manufacturing, Transportation and Logistics) where he focuses on delivery of value-adding quality service for large to mid-size international companies. Typical clients are SSAB, Sandvik, Toyota Material Handling and Huskvarna . Jan focuses on Executive Search, Talent Advisory and assessments for development- or selection pourposes as well as assessment centers.
Between 2011 and 2016 Jan joined Sandvik in a Global function within Talent development, before returning to Mercuri Urval. This included setting up the processes for Recruitment and Executive search globally for Sandvik, as well as the Talent identification and development processes. He was also responsible for Sandviks Global Mentorpool, contacts with external suppliers of assessments and Executive Search as well as the selection processes for Sandviks Global trainee programs and Next Genertion Global leaders programs.
Jan has a previous career as an Officer in the Swedish Army for 17 yrs, and an officer in the Reserve for another 22 yrs. He has worked in quilified Staff positions during 25 of these years. Since 2004 Jan hasd performed over 400 assessments on talents/ candidates from other cultures than the European ones.
Jan graduated from the Swedish Staff College in 1994, wityh the rank of Major. He is fully fluent in English, has Swedish as his mother thounge and speaks some German.
