Port of Roenne A/S is looking for an independent and proactive Chief Business Officer for Cruise with an international outlook and the motivation and qualifications to be part of a fast-growing organisation.

We offer an important position as Chief Business Officer Cruise (CBO) as our current CBO for Cruise trough many years is retiring. Port of Roenne A/S operates Bornholm's supply port and Denmark's easternmost industrial port. You will be responsible for promoting Port of Roenne A/S as cruise destination to attract the cruise industry from all over the world. 

The cruise industry has taken notice of Bornholm as an island with many tourist attractions. Port of Roenne A/S is perfectly located to the well-established shipping routes in the Baltic region and have a markedly improved port infrastructure, which has made it easier to maneuver and dock. The competitive water depth of 11 meters also makes it possible for cruise ships with a length of 350 meters to enter the port and give their passengers an experience they will never forget.  

One of your key tasks will be to meet Port of Roenne’s growing need for delivering a highly professional and international standard within cruising. This need has arisen due to the market's demands to the destinations and the immense business development and Bornholm’s growth as a cruise destination. 

A great amount of your time will be used keeping you updated on the business area’s development internationally, primarily by maintaining and expanding Port of Roenne’s large and well-established network within the industry. Hence, a key task will be to represent the Port of Roenne A/S on the international cruise market at conferences and other arenas. A task demanding a lot of dedication, proactivity, and great networking skills. Furthermore, we expect that you already have a relevant professional network that you will use to improve and develop the cruise business area. 

We offer a significant role in the strategic development of Port of Roenne A/S. As member of the management group, you are expected to contribute to the group’s close and productive cooperation, which is essential to reach Port of Roenne’s strategic goals and to deliver great results.

Further, we offer several exciting tasks for the future CBO for Cruise, among others the development of the present cooperation on tourism on Bornholm (Cruise Bornholm Network) as well as working with the image challenges of the cruise industry in a local context.

About you
As CBO for Cruise, it is expected that you have the following experiences and skills:

  • Experience from the cruise industry – alternatively from the tourist or destination industry
  • Experience with building and developing networks and network relations
  • Experience with representing and selling a destination – regionally or internationally
  • Commercial understanding and experience 
  • Experienced in oral and written English and good skills in German
  • Experienced in the use of Social Media
  • Preferably knowledge of ports and the maritime sector in general
