Thorsten Kocherscheidt is Group Director at MU. He is a member of the German MU Leadership Team in the role as Team Director with responsibility for the MU Main Office Frankfurt, Germany. He is based in Frankfurt and has been with MU since 2022.
Thorsten’s focus is to lead and grow assigned Teams & Consultants, secure a profitable implementation of our business model and secure client value delivery by all MU employees. His own client work is focused on Executive Search mandates within the Financial Services sector across Europe, especially the Insurance sector. He is furthermore a consultant for Leadership Advisory across all topics in Human Capital Management and a top executive coach for individuals and teams. His speciality is developing up-and-coming female leaders and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs. He is member of the Global Financial Services Practice as well as the Digital Practice at MU.
Prior to joining Mercuri Urval, Thorsten was leading the Insurance Sector in Europe & Africa for another top global Executive Search Firm. Prior to that he worked in C-Level functions in Insurance, Banking and Asset Management at Zurich Insurance Group, Deutsche Bank Group and DWS Group. He served on Management and Supervisory Boards in Europe and in the Middle East.
Thorsten holds an MBA degree from London City University as well as a Diploma in Economics from Hohenheim University. He is ICF certified PCC and ACTC top team and executive coaching, as well as Senior Practitioner both for individual and for team coaching at the EMCC. Speaks fluently German, English and Spanish.
