As regional responsible for Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME), you will be accountable for Manufacturing Engineering in the EMEA Region.

Your purpose in the position is to manage and improve plant performance and differentiation in manufacturing through manufacturing engineering capabilities and engagement. This includes integrating competitive and robust production technology and equipment and ensuring effective utilization of equipment and capabilities across the region through cross regional alignment and sharing between the three AME regional responsible. You will be a key player in ensuring a high performing culture and an attractive workplace by continuously improving using the Grundfos Production System.

Major tasks - the responsibility in the region includes

  • Identify core technologies for the region aligned with footprint and regional needs

  • Ensure short- and long-term capability, capacity and investment plan for the region

  • Participate in review and ensure execution of short-term plans

  • Enable and oversee utilization e.g. manage and update bottlenecks and a knowing max volume a current and obtainable OEE

  • Assess and review competence and implementation of standards

  • Ensure and develop processes within Manufacturing Engineering

  • Defined and develop KPIs for Manufacturing Engineering

  • Engage to proactively address issues within Manufacturing Engineering in the region

  • Contribute to global process management and fulfilment of regional/plant KPIs

  • Participate actively in a further globalization of AME e.g. by global and regional synergies, mapping and utilizing regional knowledge centres and universities

  • Contribute to technical ITV (Internal cost To Value)

  • Competitiveness of manufacturing – technologies and equipment

  • Utilization of manufacturing base

  • Successful introduction of new equipment, technologies and products

  • Cost out

  • Quality and cost of maintenance

  • Building engineering capability

  • Quality of engineering foundation (e.g. documentation, analytics approach, master data)

 

This position will be located in Denmark, Bjerringbro or in Hungary, Tatabanya or Szekesfehervar.

Travel activities up to approximately 20-30% must be expected.

Your experience

Your educational background is within Engineering and you speak and write English fluently. You are experienced within Manufacturing Engineering and have the capability to develop that area (e.g. maintenance). You have Leadership experience from an equivalent role in a matrix organisation, creating commitment through social and network competencies. People leadership experience from a global setting would be a plus; however, this role is without direct reports. You possess a regional and global perspective incl. experience in working in a true matrix organisation, across borders and in a global setting; working in a multi-site operations environment. You have knowledge about introduction of new equipment, products and technologies and insights into regional needs (or customer perspective) and opportunities (or supplier base, knowledge centres).
