The position

Main Responsibilities and tasks

  • Lead the two European production business units and its multiple teams in Germany (ca. 110 people) and in the Netherlands (ca. 20 people)
  • Develop the production business unit strategy and recognise the need for the development of the organisation and employees as result of the dynamic growth
  • Develop employees in their competencies and personality to ensure a strong and engaged team
  • Realise a consistently high production standard according to the organisational targets
  • Ensure highest quality of products, processes and services as well a systematic flow of information and cooperation between various departments and countries, especially with regard to productions requirements and competition/market activities
  • Develop forecasts, budgets and medium- and long-term plans in coordination with the CEO and CFO
  • Accelerate time to market (product development and innovation) and apply smart home technologies to all products (electronics, software, digitalisation)
  • Manage the entire production chain including the income of materials, work preparation, processing, quality and delivery
  • Ongoing development and optimisation of production technology and production processes

Your skills

  • Completed studies (B.A. / M.A.) of industrial engineering or a related field
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable function as well as professional and disciplinary leadership experience for multiple teams
  • Good knowledge of modern and future-oriented production technology and processes
  • Pro-actively engaged, strong business acumen and a strong people developer mind-set
  • Experience in contract law (negotiation protocols, contracts) and purchasing
  • Experience in the application of production methods and control tools
  • Strong organisational and coordination capability
  • Above-average communication competences, very good negotiation skills and a high success and result orientation
  • Excellent English and German language skills (oral and written)
  • Willingness to travel
