Join a successful international energy corporation and become Project Manager of engineering investment projects in the area of industrial energy solutions, CO2 emission reduction and next generation on-site energy supply

Responsibilities

Being part of the presales engineering team you will work as project manager of investment project opportunities in the area of industrial energy solutions / next generation on-site energy supply.
The key responsibilities will include:

  • Continuous European networking and business development activities with potential on-site energy generation customers (chemical or paper plants, data center, etc.)
  • Concept design and continuous evaluation of technical, commercial and regulatory feasibility based on simulation tools and business case calculation / financial modelling
  • Coordination of multi-disciplinary teams including i.e. technical, commercial, legal and digital experts
  • Heading offer and contract negotiations for all relevant project contracts and preparation of investment decision proposals for all involved stakeholders within and outside the group
  • Continuous risk analysis and assessment incl. the definition of a risk mitigation strategy
  • Definition of time schedule, milestones, project organization and budget requirements for project development and implementation incl. budget responsibility until financial closing
  • Business development and support of the group’s strategic growth initiatives, i.e. drive new innovative & digital solutions like intelligent power plants

Experience and Qualifications

As our ideal Business Development candidate you should have worked within the last years in the world of energy supply and thereof possess a sound network on European level. You should be willing to relocate to Germany and you fulfill the following requirements:

  • A University Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, energy economics, business administration or economics
  • Profound experience in the field of development and/or implementation of >10 Mio.€ power plant projects in an international environment, ideally in Germany, U.K., Southern Europe or BeNeLux
  • The interest & ability to link technical with commercial and legal aspects of a projects and to coordinate the corresponding internal experts and external contacts
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to establish effective cross-functional and cross-cultural working relationships and to manage stakeholders on all levels
    You consider yourself a self-starter, a true entrepreneur with a high level of self-initiative and commitment
  • Last but not least you love to work in an international environment with frequent travels and you are able to quickly bring your min. basic German language skills onto an advanced level
