A unique opportunity to improve and professionalise human resources practices as an integrated part of the business operations as well as to assume a role as an international HR Director.
As Human Resources Director, you will serve as a business partner in ongoing decision-making processes in order to ensure the continued growth and success of the overall function and organisation. You will work in (close) cooperation with the management and their teams in order to provide expertise, consultation, direction and support on human resource matters. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the business objectives and challenges while creating opportunities to improve the overall results from a human resource perspective. Another task will be to work out and implement the employee selection and talent management, compensation, benefits and payroll administration, development and training, performance management, employee engagement. You will be reporting to the Managing Directors of the respective country as well as to the board of the country organisation. In this challenging role, you will be an enabler for the Managers to implement the defined strategy by providing a vision and strategic leadership to the organisation in terms of addressing the most critical human resource opportunities for the company. Building up a professional HR, functioning as the expert on people and organisational issues and serving as a trusted advisor and business partner to the Board and management teams are further responsibilities.
Your competences and skills
You have a completed degree (diploma, master, bachelor). You have gained experience as a generalist with HR experience in the areas of recruiting, employee training & development and performance management in an international company. You possess a minimum of five to eight years of human resource experience in a dynamic, changing, international environment. During your career, you have gained experience having worked in an entrepreneurial driven type of company and are familiar with the hands-on mentality needed. Proven ability to proactively challenge the status quo and create an atmosphere of continuous improvement; experience with change management are further requirements. Being result-oriented, you conceive, initiate and execute human resource programmes, relevant to the organisation’s culture and long-term strategy, in a proactive and pragmatic manner. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, an aptitude for creative thinking and decision-making along with very good analytical and conceptual skills round off your profile. Fluency in both verbal and written English as well as ideally in French is necessary. Any further language is an asset.
