Steffen Dyre Hansen (born 1973) has been working for Mercuri Urval since 2000 in Norway, Europe and Australia. He held the roles of Business Unit Director and International Business Manager prior to coming to Sydney to lead the Australian business. Steffen has acted as a strategic business partner to a range of clients within ICT, Food Industry, Manufacturing and Professional Services in Scandinavia. Prior to that Steffen’s career developed through business strategy consulting, business development activities within FMCG and the development of business relationships between trading partners in Europe, working for the Norwegian Embassy in Italy. He holds a Masters in Marketing Management from the Norwegian School of Management.

Steffen is very experienced working with our clients’ clients to identify future market scenarios, objectives and strategies, supplier expectations and evaluation. This work has often been part of clients’ strategic change processes where he has facilitated development and implementation, working closely with management and executive teams.

Steffen has worked in executive selection for many years and has been responsible for carrying out large international projects, such as selecting the future leaders across the European business for one of the world’s largest ICT companies. Focusing on an organization’s business goals and challenges, Steffen has successfully selected executives and managers for national and international companies within a range of sectors.

Steffen has been involved in several talent management processes and been responsible for designing and conducting individual leadership development programs for emerging directors and executives. He is particularly focused on realizing potential and the drivers people bring to their work. Understanding this enables both the individual and the organization to work towards the business strategy and fulfil the individual’s aspirations for the future simultaneously.
