Lou Turner

Director

Lou specialises in selection, capability review, and learning and development solutions for senior sales and management professionals – focused on developing sales force and management effectiveness, in turn leading to tangible business results for his clients.

Building upon his prior career in telecoms, much of Lou’s work is focused in the technology sector, helping to develop the sales and management capability of new media and online organisations. In addition to his focus on technology, much of his time is spent working within the renewable energy sector with world leading global organisations, helping them maintain a competitive edge in a rapidly maturing market.

During his time with Mercuri Urval Lou has assessed well in excess of 250 senior sales and management professionals, both helping organisations make the right hiring decisions and identifying those existing employees with high potential. Lou is also highly experienced in developing and delivering bespoke learning and development solutions, which has helped to increase sales revenue, customer satisfaction/retention and ultimately margin for those clients he has worked with.

In addition to this Lou works internationally and has undertaken assignments throughout Europe.. Whilst successfully delivering and managing international projects, Lou also specialises in helping Scandinavian organisations establish a sales presence within the UK.

A business and economics graduate from Coventry University, Lou joined Mercuri Urval as a senior consultant in 2006. Prior to this Lou enjoyed 6 years with T-Mobile leading a Sales Channel and a team of National Account Managers focused on the UK market. Immediately after leaving university Lou joined NatWest spending 5 years as a Senior Account Manager within their Finance House subsidiary, Lombard North Central. Lou is married with 2 young girls, and in his (rare!) free time enjoys distance running.
