In this position, you will be responsible for not only managing and accurately controlling the accounting reporting: financial statements, balance sheets, income statements and statements of cash flow.  Additionally, it is important that you have experience in forward looking decision support (FP&A) and helping to optimize a manufacturing environment to improve profit margins.  In this highly visible position, you will also oversee shared services in IT, HR Administrator and daily operations in collaboration with line managers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

Finance & Accounting Management Tasks:

 

  • Lead company budget and forecast activities according to the Group controlling and business unit guidelines.

  • Serve as a business partner by providing financial decision support on the overall P&L.

  • Drive a culture of proactive accounting and financial management, and recommend cost improvements and savings.

  • Ensure overall smooth and efficient financial operations under Senior Executive leadership.

  • Measure and maintain controls over financial variances versus budget and previous year.

  • Create and maintain financial policies and procedures.

  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness and consistency of recording and reporting of financial statements and matters.

  • Establish guidelines for capital expenditure funds utilization.

  • Monitor the use of funds and forecast their availability.

  • Manage Accounts Receivable collection and Accounts Payable .

  • Foster a culture of transparency and inclusion regarding pertinent financial data.

  • Maintain current knowledge of U.S. (GAAP/FASB) and international accounting standards and policies (IFRS/IASB).                                                                                                

  • Learn and develop internal technical cost accounting methods in manufacturing business such as time and materials, inventory management, amortization, efficiency and production metrics

 

Human Resources Administration Tasks:

 

  • Manage basic HR administration processes:

  • Maintain compliant process and procedures for hiring, development, termination, employee relations and retention, succession planning, and labor negotiations.

  • Administer payroll and health and welfare benefits.

  • Along with management team, serve as liaison and ombudsman between employees and management regarding time and attendance, performance management and other employee relations issues.

  • Manage legal and regulatory issues relating to personnel files.

Preferred but not required qualifications:

  • MBA, CPA or CMA is a plus

  • Experience in materials manufacturing firm is a plus, but not necessary.

  • Experience with HRIS, ATS and CRM platforms is preferred.

  • Must possess strong analytical skills, proactive, able to prioritize, communicate clearly, delegate tasks as necessary as well as strong people leadership capabilities.

  • Collaborates well with others in an organization to acheive shared objectives.

  • Optimizes work processes.
