In this position, you will report directly to the Global Head of Human Resources with a dotted line to the US President & General Manager.  The HR Director will partner with senior management in the U.S. and Europe to lead the people capabilities for the U.S. Acting as a strategic partner to the business and support the rapid growth anticipated over the next 4 years, through a strong, capable management team, new innovations being launched in the U.S. as well as increasing headcount, especially in the sales function.

You are a self-driven manager, who connects easily at all levels internally and is a strong communicator, pro-active and eager to contribute to the success of the team.  Results-oriented, with a strong service orientation and change management skills.  Limited travel will be required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partner with the Global Head of HR and U.S. President /General Manager to develop and implement HR strategy, spanning strategic activities, talent management, country & function support, and administrative

  • Execute recruitment and retention objectives and internal development programs and strengthen well-functioning HR department in-house; HR administration, hiring, onboarding, performance management, remuneration and exits

  • Support and collaborate with President, Territory Directors and Function leaders in developing people strategies and advising on appropriate new compensation structure in line with market benchmarks

  • Budgeting and projections of headcounts and payroll; process control and improvement

  • Ensure legal compliance in all fields of internal and external recruiting by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; assist with investigations; maintain records

  • Ensure Global HR processes are followed

  • Support learning, training, and professional development and succession planning





Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Functional experience as a HR Manager, HR Director or HR Business Partner

  • At least 5 years experience in HR strategy development and deployment, working with senior management

  • At least 2 years experience in recruiting/talent acquisition


Preferred but not required qualifications:

  • Professional Human Resources Certification or Senior Professional Human Resources Certification (SPHR)

  • Experience in medical device sector highly preferred, including interacting with sales organization

  • Experience working n an international environment is a major plus

  • Masters Degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial Labor Relations, Organizational Psychology or Communications is a plus, but not required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience with SAP Success Factors is a plus
