Karl Martin Stang is a qualified lawyer and has completed additional studies at BI and London School of Polytechnics. Upon completing his education, Karl Martin worked as a lawyer for the Directorate of Health.
Karl Martin has been with Mercuri Urval since the start in 1977. In 1985 he left the organisation to start a new search consultancy. He returned to Mercuri Urval as CEO in 1987, a position he held until 1997 when he became chairman of the executive board and returned to working with clients.
In 2002 Karl Martin left the executive board, and he is today working with recruitment and selection into top management and board positions, leadership consultancy, coaching and change management. Through his extensive experience in public administration, as well as in the private industry, he has achieved thorough understanding of a variety of sectors and industries. In addition, Karl Martin has previously sat in on and chaired several executive boards, some of his positions being with publicly listed organisations.
