Luc Maes has been working at Mercuri Urval as a Business Consultant since November 2007.
With an Engineering degree in his pocket, Luc started his career in 1987 as a sales engineer in the commercial department of a Benelux process control automation company for one year and as a key account manager in an international construction company for the next 3 years. Later, he co-founded a local Belgian company in the advertising/multimedia, direct marketing database and internet services market where for the first 2 years he was also involved in sales and account management. Due to the strong growth of the company in turnover and employees, he became fully responsible for managing both the sales and marketing and human resources departments for the next 10 years. Furthermore he also has 4 years consultancy experience working as a business consultant with expertise in the field of general industrial organization, human resources, marketing, sales and communication.

Luc spends his leisure time with his partner and two little sons. They enjoy travelling, general cultural activities and swimming, walking and cycling. He is also a passionate music lover, going to concerts of all kinds, tennis player and enjoys going to cinema and art exhibitions and occasionally reading a good book.
